A Tribute to the Huia: A Symbol of New Zealand’s Natural Heritage

Tauranga metal artist Ninette Kruger’s Pewter Huia Bird, a collaboration with Anna Mollekin, NZ artist

Our latest collaboration is a tribute to the Huia bird, an iconic New Zealand species that was sadly lost to extinction.

Auckland-based artist, Anna, has brought the Huia to life through her detailed digital artistry, capturing the bird’s presence in a way that feels almost tangible.

Meanwhile, Ninette, a metal artist based in Tauranga, has created a stunning pewter sculpture that adds a three-dimensional depth.

Together, this piece is more than just art—it’s a reminder of the importance of protecting our natural world.

It all started with Anna's Drawing...

Art for a Cause: Supporting the Graeme Dingle Foundation

We believe in using our art to make a difference.

That’s why we're donating 10% ($350) of the proceeds from this NZ Huia artwork (Huia's Lustrous Lacework) to the Graeme Dingle Foundation, a charity doing incredible work for New Zealand’s youth.

Their Project K program helps young people build confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose—skills that are so important in today’s world.

Ninette has recently become a youth mentor for the Foundation, making this cause even closer to our hearts.
